Doctor Kevin Gasiorowski

Dr. Gasiorowski (Dr. G) joined Appleton Eye Associates in 1992 and subsequently purchased the practice and has grown it to 5 locations - Newburyport, Amesbury, North Reading, Hamilton and Ipswich.

Dr. G, who was mentored by Dr. Appleton in both optometry and community service, has continued Appleton Eye’s strong community involvement by being a board member of the Institution for Savings Bank, Anna Jacques Hospital Foundation, past president of Newburyport Rotary, as well as supporting area athletics and sponsoring various social causes. 

Dr. G is an avid New England sports fan and you might just find him sitting next to you at a sporting event with his wife and daughters.

Doctor Susan Rzepka

Dr. Rzepka joined Appleton Eye Associates in 2007 delivering high quality eye care to pediatric, adolescent, adult and elderly patients. In her spare time, she and her husband are busy raising their growing family.

Doctor Ramkumar Ramamirtham

Dr. Ramkumar Ramamirtham (Dr. Ram) has worked in the industry as a research scientist and was engaged in intra ocular lenses and myopia prevention. He interned at Community Health Center in Dorchester MA, Lahey Ophthalmology, the Lowell VA in MA, and in Merrimack, NH. He has concentrations in post-cataract surgery care of patients, pediatrics and other ocular diseases.

He has over 15 peer reviewed scientific publications and has served as reviewer for eye care journals including Investigative Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences, Vision Research, Optometry and Vision Science. In addition, he is engaged in vision research at NECO and Boston Children’s Hospital. He was also a student member of American Optometric Association and Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology.

Dr. Ramamirtham enjoys traveling, biking, hiking and spending time with family.

Doctor Bruce Chase

Dr. Chase, who recently celebrated his 41st year of practicing, established the private practice of North Reading Optometric in North Reading, MA in 1978. Known for his friendly and patient demeanor, Dr. Chase enjoys getting to know his patients while giving them the highest level of care. North Reading Optometric joined the Appleton Eye Associates family in 2017.

Doctor John J. Iannitto

Dr. Iannitto joined Appleton Eye Associates in 2020 and he is currently treating patients in our South Hamilton location. Dr. Iannitto has been practicing optometry on the north shore of Massachusetts for more than 30 years. In 1988, he founded Dr. John J. Iannitto and Associates in Peabody where he quickly established a reputation for his thorough eye exams, contact lens expertise, and for making precise prescriptions for patients.

In addition to his more recent experience, Dr. Iannitto completed a residency in low vision and primary care optometry at the Veterans Administration Outpatient Clinic in Boston. He received his undergraduate degree from Rutgers University and his Doctor of Optometry degree from The New England College of Optometry (NEWENCO). While a student at NEWENCO, he was awarded the college’s Alumni Scholarship as well as the Bausch and Lomb Award for outstanding proficiency as a contact lens clinician.

An accomplished saxophonist, Dr. Iannitto is a member of the Ipswich Summer Band and he is also a featured musician in appearances by other local bands. A longtime resident of Ipswich, he enjoys playing golf and kayaking with his wife, Susan, as well as spending time with the couple’s family and friends.

Doctor Lisa Traveis

Dr. Traveis partnered with Appleton Eye Associates in 2020 and she is currently treating patients in our Ipswich location. Dr. Traveis has been practicing optometry for nearly 35 years. 

After spending several years as an Assistant Professor and an Associate Professor at the New College of Optometry in Boston, she founded Traveis Eye Care in Ipswich in 1995. In addition to her more recent experience, Dr. Traveis also completed fellowships and residencies in Boston at the New England College of Optometry (NEWENCO), The Cotting School for Handicapped Children, the Brighton Marine Public Health Center, as well as the Providence Veterans Administration Hospital in Providence, R.I. 

An avid gardener, Dr. Traveis loves growing roses at the home she shares with her husband of 34 years, Robert. A longtime Boxford resident, she and her husband enjoy spending time with their adult children Kate and Colin, as well as taking walks with their German Shepherd, Finn.

Doctor Alison Lynch

Dr. Lynch joined Appleton Eye Associates in 2022 and she is seeing patients in the Newburyport and Amesbury offices. She has a personal passion for impairments in binocular vision, such as amblyopia, strabismus, and eye tracking disorders. After graduating from SUNY College of Optometry, Dr. Lynch excelled in providing comprehensive eyecare in long-term nursing facilities and other institutional settings. Outside the office she enjoys photography, biking, and traveling.

Doctor Bonny Weingarten

Dr. Weingarten joined Appleton Eye Associates in 2022 and she is seeing patients in the Gloucester office. After growing up in the Bronx, NY, she went on to study Optometry at Queens College and Pennsylvania College of Optometry (now Salus University). D. Weingarten loves to help patients by educating them on eye health and how it relates to other health concerns. Outside the office she enjoys creating pottery, gardening and yoga, as well as spending time with her husband and dog Marley (who frequently visits the office).
